Dental Microscope
DR. PAVENDEEP KHAIRA: I’m very much a believer in using the best technology possible to deliver the very best dentistry that I possibly can. One of the things I use is a dental microscope. This allows me to increase the magnification of what I see up to times 20. Now with me being able to see more one of the benefits that we’re actually getting from that is we’re actually able to intercept decay a lot sooner. We can see cracks that we just couldn’t have seen otherwise. I can see a lot more at much earlier stages so that when we treat these problems it’s a much more conservative type treatment. And quite often we can get to these problems before they actually start to cause pain. And that’s the key, is to intercept these problems nice and early so that any treatment that we do is nice and conservative.
