People with misaligned teeth are often embarrassed to smile in public, and they often have lowered self-confidence and a less-fulfilling social life. However, many people feel that the problems associated with crooked teeth are preferable to the hassle and pain of traditional metal braces. There is a way to achieve straight teeth without the discomfort of wires and brackets, though, and it's now available at Red Sky Dental Spa. The Invisalign® orthodontics system of invisible braces, available at our Doncaster, South Yorkshire, location, allow patients to straighten their teeth comfortably and unobtrusively.
Invisalign® invisible braces are a series of plastic aligners, fitted to the patient's teeth, that gradually reposition the teeth over time. Each aligner is worn for two to three weeks before the patient switches to the next aligner in the series. Ideally, the patient is able to wear each tray for 22 to 23 hours per day, taking the tray out to eat and when brushing teeth. Though the plastic is thin and clear enough to be nearly unnoticeable, it is very durable and forces the teeth to shift over time.
The Invisalign® treatment process starts with a consultation between our staff and the patient, during which we answer any questions and take a mold of the patient's teeth. We send this mold to the Invisalign® orthodontics lab, where the series of trays are produced and then sent to the patient. After the patient has the trays, it is simply a matter of wearing them every day. The entire process usually takes around two years to complete, though many patients attain their desired results earlier. Many of our patients choose to enhance the results of their Invisalign® orthodontics treatment with porcelain veneers or teeth whitening. The Invisalign® orthodontics system of invisible braces, now available at our Doncaster, South Yorkshire dental spa, can achieve the same results as traditional metal braces without the pain and trouble. Also, the Invisalign® lab is able to make aligners to fit almost any patient. The aligners are easy to keep clean, and they can be removed for brushing, flossing, and eating. The Inman Aligner™ can straighten teeth in, on average, six to sixteen weeks. Used to correct misaligned front teeth, often the result of earlier orthodontic work that has regressed, the Inman Aligner™ straightens teeth by applying gentle, constant pressure. The appliance is worn over the front teeth, and has a small spring and bar that press and pull certain teeth in opposite directions. It thus forces the teeth into alignment, without the trouble of traditional braces. Though it may take a day or two to get used to the Inman Aligner™, it is small and nearly unnoticeable to others. Like Invisalign® invisible braces, patients can take the Inman Aligner™ out to eat and brush their teeth.
