For most people, aging results in a loss of skin elasticity and fullness, which leads to sagging and wrinkles. Hydrafill® is made of a purified form of hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the human body. A major reason skin becomes wrinkled and loses elasticity as people age is the depletion of naturally occurring hyaluronic acid, collagen, and fat that keep the skin smooth and supple. Hydrafill® works by restoring volume under the skin in needed areas, filling in wrinkles and lines and giving the skin a more youthful appearance.
After an initial consultation to determine the patient's needs and goals, the patient is administered a mild local anesthetic in the area where he or she will receive Hydrafill™ injection. The doctor then administers the dermal filler using prepared syringes with extremely fine needles. The number of injections will vary from patient to patient; each person's needs and each person's goals are different. The entire Hydrafill™ treatment usually lasts from 15 to 30 minutes, after which the patient is able to return to regular activities.
The results of a treatment with Hydrafill™, for most of our Leeds and Doncaster, South Yorkshire, patients, last from six to twelve months. After that time the body begins to break down and absorb the hyaluronic acid, a process which is natural and completely safe. We usually recommend two to three treatments in the first year to achieve the desired results, and then one to two in the following years to maintain those results.
Evolence® uses collagen, a substance found naturally in the body, to subtly alter a patient’s cheeks or nose. The effects are similar to expensive cosmetic surgery, but the procedure is much less invasive and time-consuming. Results typically last approximately one year, with the collagen gradually being absorbed into the body. One of the newest cosmetic procedures available, cheek and nose reshaping with Evolence® can greatly enhance the results of a smile makeover or other cosmetic treatment.
