MALE VOICE: The service you get here is second to none. A previous treatment with dentists where it’s been with NHS—I was invited here back half to come in and try the private set of the dentistry industry. And it’s been absolutely fine. It’s totally, totally different. You get treated in a totally different manner. And the treatment is second to none.
The treatment I have had here, it’s still ongoing, but eventually I’d like to think I do care for my teeth a lot more and I appreciate them more. I’m fine with the service that Pav and Richard and the rest of the girls give me here.
The service you get here is totally different. It’s not like any other dentist. When you walk in, it’s like walking into somebody’s house. So you get into surgeries that you notice that you are in a surgery. And it’s a totally relaxing experience.
MALE VOICE: Obviously I can imagine that some people who come to a dental practice, and not including myself, could be quite scared. But even though I’m not scared of a dental practice myself, when you come in, it’s still—you still, your mind’s put at ease. Obviously speak to Pav. He tells you how he’s going to do it, the way he’s going to do it, and the reason obviously being behind all the treatments. So before you can sit down, your mind is also set of what’s going to happen. So then obviously from there on you’re not thinking, “Well, what’s going to happen? Is this going to do it? Is that going to do it?” And the nervousness is pretty much gone.
But from my own point of view, the professionalism, obviously the settings, the biscuits, the coffee, which is obviously nice, even down through the receptionist and the hygienist is definitely so professional.
Well the really great thing about the staff is it’s not, to me it doesn’t seem like a Red Sky business. It seems like a family of such that you want in there. I mean it is of the middle. Always professional. They take you from, obviously from your walking in first through the door, to sit down with Pav. So there’s obviously that link there, then obviously you’ve got professionalism from Pav.
The confidence that dental treatment gives me is obviously (a) is obviously a smile. You know yourself, obviously, personal hygiene, to me, even though we are male and have this stigma of being—whatever they want to call it—you use it, you know, the dental hygiene from skin care and everything else. But I obviously use it for personal, not only hygiene, but obviously personal, you know, personal look. I like to look nice. There’s nothing better than you’re feeling good and looking good in yourself.
FEMALE VOICE: Oh, the service is very professional. The staff are wonderful, and obviously it’s made a fantastic difference to my smile. And the service, the quality of everything that goes on here is wonderful.
Oh, it just made you a lot more confident. Obviously, I smile a lot more. And so I had my teeth whitened and also had veneers on. So the quality of them’s fabulous. Yeah. Pav made a wonderful job of it.
Oh, I’d definitely recommend it. I’ve recommended it to a quite a lot of people already. Obviously, the service and the quality of the staff and the work is very, very good. Yes, definitely I recommend it to a lot of people.
FEMALE VOICE: Your teeth are very important to you. If you’re a happy person, you want to show them a lot. You want to smile a lot and feel confident with your smile. And it just makes you more outgoing in a way if you’ve got a happy, healthy, confident smile.
Initially when you walk in, the ambience is a very relaxing ambience. Everybody makes you feel welcome. They show an interest in you, not just in your teeth. They’re not just there for your teeth, you know, to look after you teeth. They want to find out about you as a person. They put you at your ease, which is very important in a dental setting.
The reception-waiting area is very relaxing. You’re able to eat and have a drink, and it’s almost like a home situation that you walk into. So where do you feel most relaxed? You feel most relaxed at your home, and this is like a home setting, which is good in terms if so many people are frightened of coming to the dentist. It just makes you feel a little bit easier about having dental treatment.
I would recommend Red Sky Dental practice because the people are so welcoming, kind. They give you time and they push a lot of effort into your care. And I just enjoy coming, to be honest, which is quite unusual, enjoying coming to a dentist.
FEMALE VOICE: I first because a friend recommended me to come. I was really nervous of dentists, so they thought I’d like it here. And which I did, I was really pleased.
And I think what’s really impressed me about this place is how relaxed and friendly it is, and that it’s not really like going to the dentist. It’s a nice place to come.
I’ve brought my daughters, and they’ve had a wide variety of treatments. They’ve had from the braces to teeth whitening, to the general fillings. And they’ve all been pleased with the work done.
I’m a lot happier. And also because it’s so long since I’ve been to a dentist, it’s about six or seven years since I’ve been to a dentist. I actually feel a lot healthier; just a lot brighter; feel a lot better.
The staff at Red Sky are really friendly. It’s a lovely place to come. And I see Richard as a friend now. Really, I mean we chat about well not just teeth anymore.
MALE VOICE: The staff are extremely friendly. When you first come in, they make you welcome, not like an NHS dentist, to be honest. You get offered a cup of coffee or they have bread and biscuits on. They’re all very, very friendly. Pav, himself, is extremely friendly. He puts you at ease. Straight away from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, you don’t actually realize you have dental treatment until you look in the mirror. It’s that sort of experience.
Never really, the first time I’ve been to a dentist of this sort. I’ve been to an NHS dentist. It’s just a whole new experience, totally different.
Red Sky Dental has made a big difference to my smile. I can smile now without trying to cover up my top teeth. That’s the big difference. That’s how I tell it. Show him the pictures ‘cause there are pictures of before and after. So it’s just quite straightforward. They say a picture paints a thousand words, well, we’ve got them to prove it.
For the first time in about 20 years, I can actually have a full smile. I’ve always, for the last sort of 15 years, I’ve smiled covering up my top set of teeth. Now I smile and reveal them ‘cause I know they look good. That’s what the difference has made.
DR. KHAIRA: I see a lot of people who suffer from chronic headaches, particularly in the temporal region, – - make sometimes back of the neck. A lot of people aren’t actually aware that this problem can be related to certain jaw joint problems and also clenching and grinding of teeth.
What we can do is there are certain appliances that can be make which can reduce the muscle force that’s used to apply [phonetic] that’s causing these headaches. And we generally find that when they work patients can be pain free. And quite often they don’t remember what it’s like to be totally pain free. Because they suffer with these terrible tension headaches. Particularly the clients who wake up in the morning with tension headaches and they come in and they say to me you know I have these headaches almost on a daily basis. That’s not right. – - – appliance headaches go away after a short period of time. And they have much fewer headaches. And they come back to me and they’re so much happier. They turn around and say to me I used to have to take pills every single day I was in so much pain. And it’s just really nice seeing somebody, particularly when they’ve been in pain, to come back and they’re happy and they’re getting on with things. That’s good.
DR. KHAIRA: I see a lot of patients with gum disease. And the problem that we have is there’s an increasing evidence now a days to suggest that there are links between gum disease and heart disease and strokes and certain cancers and diabetes. Now we’re not 100% sure what that link is. But whatever it is it’s probably not going to be good. So we have to make sure that we are doing everything that we possibly can to help you achieve very, very healthy gums. And we can certainly do that.
One of the things that I’ve started in the UK is the use of lasers in gum disease treatment. The use of laser in a gum disease treatment is designed to help reduce the need for potential surgical treatment. It’s generally a fairly comfortable way of doing it. And it enhances the therapy that we already so for you.
Laser gum disease treatment is designed to enhance the basic gum disease treatment you are already having. We’re actually having some superb results. So particularly with the link now a days between gum disease and all these nasty conditions, we want to make sure that we’re doing everything that we possibly can to make sure that your gums and your teeth are as healthy as they possibly can be.
DR. PAVANDEEP KHAIRA: Dermal fillers are a safe, injectable product that we can use to reduce the appearance of deep creases such as the nose to mouth lines.
