The Baddest Man on the Planet. Yeah, we all know who I’m talking about.
Have you seen any recent interviews with him? I’ve just seen one. He was asked how proud he is of his boxing achievements. To which he replied “It’s all garbage. Don’t get me wrong, there was a time when this meant everything to me. When I was a kid. Then as we grow up we learn that there are more important things in life. To me that’s making sure my kids are happy”
Isn’t it interesting how life moulds us? What is supremely important to us now may become obsolete later. I don’t know about the rest of you but that’s quite a scary thought! That means everything we strive for now, may be taken away from us in a heartbeat, or we may find we get everything we want only to suddenly desire something else.
I appreciate what I have in terms of the tangible, the material and I think God for that. Do i desire more? Yeah, who doesn’t? But it’s not my being. I’d be truly lost without certain people in my life. I would have no sense of purpose without them, and I’m blessed that they are here with me now.
Thanks to all of the random acts throughout the life of the universe that has bought them to me
